Wedding professionals: Get ready.
To make the most of our time together it will help if you do a bit of prep work beforehand. We've put together a workshop checklist below but there's no need to worry if you don't have every piece of information or photo by the time of the workshop. Once you understand the basics of Squarespace adding new pages and other elements will be a snap.
Workshop Checklist
- Laptop computer.
- Logo. No problem if you don't have one just yet. Squarespace Logo might be a good option.
- Brief "About me" statement. Two or three paragraphs at the most.
- Images. We'll create four different image galleries so organize six to ten photos in three different folders. Each gallery can contain whatever images you want but here are a couple ways you might want to organize them:
- each gallery contains images from a single wedding,
- each gallery contains images that highlight distinct aspect of your work (e.g,, "autumnal floral arrangements", "outdoor weddings", etc.).
- Spend some time thinking about the goals you'd like to achieve with your website. We'll proceed under the assumption that wedding professionals' websites are primarily for lead generation but we will also cover the basics of e-commerce on Squarespace.
- Note. If you do not already own your own custom domain, no need to purchase one before the workshop: A custom domain is included with each annual Squarespace subscription.
